Rahmat M. Samik-Ibrahim is currently the chairman of VauLSMorg, a Non Government Organization. He has NOT been involved in any major Internet activity for the last 15 years. He was the Network Manager at the University of Indonesia from 1990 to 1996. During that time, he was involved in several networking activities, from designing and then maintaining the University of Indonesia campus network, to designing the guideline of the “.ID” (Indonesian) domain registration. He was also involved in helping to set up the first Indonesian commercial Internet Service Provider, Indonet. He works at the University of Indonesia since 1984, teaching several subjects like Operating Systems, System Programing, Computer Security, etc. He is married to Dini Prapti Karyani and they have two children. They live in Pamulang, a southwest suburb of Jakarta.
