What is Postfix? It is a mail server developed by Wietse Venema that started life at IBM research as an alternative to the widely used Sendmail program. Now at Google, Wietse continues to support Postfix.
Postfix aims to be fast, easy to manage, and secure. From the outside, it has a Sendmail feel, but inside it is completely different.
