Since early 2008 we have grown from an ad hoc group of volunteers to a focused organization. The team is comprised of individuals with a wide span of experience ranging from human rights work to software development. Ushahidi adalah sebuah perusahaan non-profit yang memfokuskan diri untuk pengembangan software free & open source untuk pengumpulan informasi, visualisasi dan pemetaan interaktif.
Tim Ushahidi membuat tool untuk demokratisasi informasi, peningkatan transparansi, dan memudahkan individu untuk men-share kisah mereka.
Ushahidi adalah organisasi distruptive yang berani mengambil resiko dalam melakukan perubahan arus informasi.
